OUR MISSION
Turning Waste Into
Possibility.
We believe the plastic already in circulation is more valuable than any plastic yet to be made. Here's how we prove it, batch by batch.
OUR STORY
Why We Started
TerraLoop began with a simple, frustrating observation: recycling infrastructure exists, but demand for what it produces often doesn't. Sorted, cleaned plastic waste was piling up with nowhere to go, while everyday products kept being made from virgin material.
So we built the other half of the loop — a product company whose only raw material is what's already out there. Every backpack, bottle and chair we make is proof that the demand side can catch up to the supply.
THE PLASTIC PROBLEM
An Unmanaged Material Crisis
Most plastic ever produced still exists in some form — in landfill, in waterways, or broken down into microplastics working through ecosystems and food chains. Left unmanaged, common plastics can persist for centuries.
The issue isn't that plastic is inherently bad — it's durable, lightweight and useful. The issue is a system that treats it as disposable after a single use.
OUR SOLUTION
Closing the Loop, Deliberately
We treat plastic already in circulation as a permanent material stream — collected, processed and rebuilt into products designed to be used for years, then recovered again at end of life.
RECYCLING PROCESS
From Flake to Finished Product
Collect
Coastal cleanups, municipal partners and farm co-ops deliver sorted plastic and agricultural waste — including sugarcane bagasse, coffee husk, rice husk and corn husk — to our processing hubs.
Sort
Material is separated by resin code or waste type, cleaned, and shredded or milled into uniform flake or fiber.
Transform
Flake is melted, filtered and re-pelletized into resin ready for manufacturing.
Create
Resin becomes finished goods — molded, stitched or woven and quality-tested.
